Aligning Migration Management and the Migration-Development Nexus (MIGNEX)

MIGNEX  is a five-year research Horizon 2020 project (2018–2023) with the core ambition of creating new knowledge on migration, development and policy. It involves researchers at nine institutions in Europe, Africa and Asia. Prof. Siegel is the Maastricht University lead for WP7 and WP9.

Advancing Alternative Migration Management (ADMIGOV)

ADMIGOV is a Horizon 2020 project (2018–2022) that aims to promote an alternative migration governance model and takes seriously the principles laid out in the Sustainable Development Goals 2030 (2015), the New York Declaration (2016) and later UN documents. 

IOM Netherlands Connecting Diaspora for Development II (CD4D) 

Evaluation of knowledge transfer impact of the Connecting Diaspora for Development (CD4D) project of IOM from the Netherlands II (2019-2022). The overall objective of CD4D2 is to promote the active role of diaspora in selected sectors in four focus countries: Afghanistan, Iraq, Nigeria and Somalia.

Role of European Mobility and its Impacts in Narratives, Debates and EU Reforms (REMINDER) 

The goal of the Horizon 2020 REMINDER (2016-2019) project is to understand both the impacts of free movement and the processes through which political narratives and public opinion about these impacts are formed.
